2nd try with the RAW files.... this 1 dun feel as good as the first pic.

RAW files and Pelham 123
sprain my leg yesterday so was resting at home all day on a FRI . OMG haha.... was watching photography tips on podcast and come across this segment on camera raw plug-in in PS CS4
ok.. after truly inspired . i grab my camera and went to JP for a impromptu shoot...
there's a madagascar road show where humans in animal suits pretending to be lion/penguins and assorted african animals. took a few shots but it's crap lolx. low light + crowds = under expose pics + human heads.
i pick up another 4GB sandisk card ( jus in case for future use . only 260+ shots if i do raw )
after walking around JP i notice quite a few good movies are showing . the taking of pelham 123 , land of the lost , blood.. i promptly book the pelham 123. it's quite a exciting as well as humorous movie . i mean storyline is not the most imaginative but the execution is at its best esp with the 2 leads - john travolta n denzel washington.
ok.. since i have time till the movie , i went for mos burger and behold , this pic is born lolx... original a boring shot in yellow light . but after nicely transform by PS .. at least it's saved somehow..

Buddha Relic Temple
i went to the buddha relic temple during monday . wonderful place.
once you went in , you know this is a modern and newly build temple .
comparetively , various big temples in SG are build before any hdb appear in SG and renovated to inculded modern amenties.
theres a viewing gallery on mediem floor , 2nd floor/3rd/4th floor has buddha relics on display , giftshop , museum .
Some parts esp the relics are banned from photography and some i did not post here or flickr for respect of the religion.
Most Interesting is the mini building housing the huge prayer wheel on TOP. The following picture is taken @ the roof of the temple :)

since last weekend , i seen season 5 , season 4 , finish season 1 last nite.
probly gonna start season 2 tonite heh
so far fave still the season 5.
season 1 is bad.. esp bad since out of all the "cooks" , only 2 is actually holds a cooking job
ppl swears too much in this show... the censor beeps comes out so often that sometimes i really dunno what are the ppl complaining abt !!

Hells weekend
i was meaning to go out some times this weekend to shoot some photos but end up lazying at home watching hells kitchen lolx .
Nevertheless , during sunday evening i made a short trip to check out some photo ops n grab dinner
This lady and the guy is performing a duet on the foyer / stage jus inside the entance , there's another lady playing the piano but she got block and i can't get a nice pic of her :)
the blue alien carparks.. seriously some buildings designers like Scifi too much . esp the ET variety.

ShuangLin Monastery
decide to visit lian shan Shuanglin Monastery on mother's day cum vesak day with my mother. She was born and grew up in a kampong beside the temple ( it was torn down now)
it was a fun day as she was describing the various stuff that happens around the area long time ago, plus i get to take photos of the historic 100yr + monastery ( it was a designated singapore national heritage site)
according to my mum , there used to be a burial ground for the monks in/beside the temple but it was cleared away .

was testing out this lens at the shop , omg the color and sharpness of the lens is jus ... unbelievable. the price is unbelievable too @ $760 lolx. at the end , decide to wait till i saved enough money to buy this lens instead of using credit

Playing with SB-600
i've been itching to find a flash to add to my camera
arsenal for sometime now. Flash photography is probly one of the most important part of lesson for budding photographers so i'm itching for 1 to "experiment" and learn.
i finally manage to find a "deal" for SB-600 after some searching , so i waste no time to went to pick it up asap after work ! tried a few test shots and was really "wow" by it.
noticed the sharpness and details off the watch? if i try to attempt w.o the flash unit or use a pop up flash , normally it's a disaster .

Pioneer MRT station
while waiting for the train , i noticed the symmetry of the buildings and decide to snap anyhow... now this pic has become the most view images in my flickr account. 2nd is the changi railing pic.
Changi "kelong"? at night
hehe... when i was waking back from sunset broardwalk , i chance up this "kelong"? and the super long reflection from extending down.. cannot miss chance !
there's another photographer doing this shot as well. but he's out at the rocks outside the railings ( plus it's super dark with the next lampost veri far away) humm... i think that i should inculde the railings and jus do a few snaps and adjustments ( no enough light to see camera controls) then i left....
the results are suprisingly good :)
